It helps with the tremor, anxiety and sleep... 60,male,diagnosed may 2015...using mm 1 year. No meds otherwise
Got medical card 2 weeks ago and tried a little but not experienced enough to give any solid advice. So far have been smoking a couple vapor puffs of oil before bed and seems to put me out quickly.
I started using cbd oil and a couple of puffs off a vape about two years ago, it seems like it helps with sleep. I buy only indica with high canaboid content and it does calm tremor down a lot, and reduces my overall anxiety. I hope it works for you! I’m in a state that still thinks MJ is not medicinal for anyone other than people who have seizures.
"the dosage administered can vary dramatically depending on the plant and method of administration."
Best advice is to "experiment", starting with small amounts. Be mindful of the fact that for ingestables (as compared to inhailants) you need to allow considerably more time for drug to enter the bloodstream. Complicating this is the fact that gastric emptying of stomach may be delayed for people with PD depending on the extent to which the disease has effected their autonomic system.
CBD 10, 1 or two a day, till you know what you like. Amount of THC (the “high” aspect) is up to you. CBD simply works. Gives a body calming feeling, a sense of well-being, quite different than a “high”. Since we all tend to exacerbate our movement symptoms, either to mask, control, or modify it, CBD speaks effectively to that anxious need to engage with tremors etc.
The comments above are all relevant as there are a variety of ways to engage with MM. CBD vs THC, Indica vs Sativa, vaping vs ingesting. For daytime use I'd suggest a high-CBD low-THC sativa or hybrid strain in a tincture/dropper format. Take no more than a quarter of the dropper and wait. It takes an hour or more to start working and lasts 6 to 8 hours. Calms tremors and provides relaxation without too much "high" so you can function in the day-to-day world. In the evening you might consider vaping an indica strain with more THC. That'll calm your tremor, make Netflix way more interesting, and send you off for a solid night's sleep.
Hi there , I use a 4:1 ratio cbd/THC spray. I use a couple sprays under my tongue 1-2 times a day for pain . That seems to work for me. For pain dr said I needed a little THC with the cbd to help. There are several different ratios 1:1 all the way to 18:1 just depends on what you need. I am in California and the knowledge of the people in the dispensary was very helpful as well. Hope you find what works for you.
