Gerry, if you can get to Walgreens, they carry a jar of cream called restful legs. It’s made in Texas . My husband suffered badly. I bought it and rubbed it on his legs and it works. I was buying as many jars as they had. It cost about 14.95, but it is worth it. There are different kinds, make sure it is the one made in Texas. Restful Legs.

Jenag,

What type of magnesium did you use and how much and how often did you take it?

Thank you!

I take 500 mg capsule once a day at night time. I am in New Zealand and the brand I take is Go Healthy but it is manufactured here. As has 4 forms of magnesium in it

Nothing worked for my RLS ... I tried all the alternate methods and I my sleep time ended up at 2 hrs per night if lucky. I then went on a roller coaster ride with "sleeping meds" and tried 15 (no exaggeration) controlled by my doctor and then a psychiatrist. I live in British Columbia, Canada.

Mirapex was finally prescribed by a neurologist but I ended up 45 lbs. heavier in 9 months. DO NOT try Mirapex...major and many side effects.

I am now controlling RLS with a double dose of my PD medication Sinemet CR before bedtime...last dose of the day. Fingers crossed this continues to work. Good for 2+ years now. Good luck. 👍

I am on 1 mg of Ropinarole (Requip). I take it at 7:30pm and I get a full nights sleep. I believe this is a dopamine agonist that you need to be careful with. If you take too much there is a chance you can have tendencies to over do things like gambling, sex, etc. I have not had any problems on this dosage. If there was something natural that worked for me I would be taking it.

There is a 2 mg. extended release version of Ropinirole which has been very helpful for me. And no obvious side effects.

My husband was prescribed ropinerole but the side effects are not good...he now only takes that in daytime...he uses gabbpentin now at night...it now works for rls and helps him sleep too.

Yes. I take 5 drops cbd under the tongue about 1hour before bedtime. Does wonders. I have been doing this for 7 months.
