If the part of our brain that creates dopamine is damaged, if we exercise does our brain create more dopamine? Or is it just helping my body use what I have better??

I'm not very technically minded, but it has something to do with BDNF. Perhaps someone else can explain this a little better, but here's a link on BDNF you can check out.

Yes. Exercise boosts neurotransmitters whether yet Parkinson's or not. It's just that the boost is more noticeable and more important to us.

My experience has been that fast walking has helped me to repair the brain cells which produce dopamine. The result of which has reversed most of my movement symptoms. I now have lived a fairly normal life since 2002. Other people have had similar experience from doing Rock Steady Boxing, dancing and Other forms of intense exercise.

If you really want to do something about your Pd, and are prepared to put in the effort to achieve a better life then look at my profile or contact me on reverseparkinsons.net and I will send you a whole lot of information that will help you to reverse some of your symptoms.
