Will gene therapy treatments be available in my lifetime? And what are the barriers to making them a reality? With news that a new gene therapy trial for Parkinson’s is due to start in the UK later this year, we take a look at how far this technique has come.

I think all Pd patients should be feeling a lot more hopeful. We have spoken in depth with 2 neuros here in Sydney and they both said they are hopeful that within the next 5 yrs there should be something available to st least arrest the disease.
