I started taking B1 2 weeks ago and constipation has gone. Other than that have not been feeling good I seem to have regressed. About 6 weeks ago I fell and broke my wrist and needed surgery, plate and screws so I have not been able to go to Rock Steady Boxing or much exercise also it was very stressful. My question is could it be the B1 causing the not good feeling or the fall. I understand from this blog that sometimes its necessary to go down on the dosage. I have been taking 4 g per day. Dr. C recommended the dose so I could call him but he is so busy I thought I would see if any one out there had any suggestions. Thank you

Thiamine
How long had you been on b1 before you broke your wrist ?
First suggestion is to do what Dr. Costantini always says to do, contact him if any problems!
Regression can be an indication of too high of a dose or could be related to your recently
elevated stress level. In some cases he advises to stop completely for a week or two and in other cases he advises to reduce the thiamine dose, but you are just guessing until you discuss it with him. Good luck and improved health going forward!

I have recently stopped B1 injections (on the advice of Dr. C), after I realized I was feeling worse. He wants me to start on 2grams per day oral thiamine HCI, but I am going to titrate up from 500mg.
Even prior t PD diagnosis stopping workouts made me feel lousy. Perhaps finding another physical activity until your wrist heals might offer you some help.
