Marty hinz amino acid protocol for Parkin... - Cure Parkinson's
Marty hinz amino acid protocol for Parkinson's. How successful is it?
Ive been on it almost a year. No side effects and no off times. I can even skip a day of meds (supplements) and still have no off time. Just a little jittery in the mornings but thats all. Anxiety, emptiness, depression and anhedonia symptoms are gone. Looser muscles than before. Less brain fog. Very much less tremor. I sleep well. I work full time plus overtime and am raising 2 pre-teen kids.
I still get fatigued sometimes. Its a lot of pills, too. Im much more comfortable doing this than taking sinemet or other PD Rx meds.
Adding Thiamine to this has been a huge plus as well.
I find the most important fact in assessing peoples experience in anything to do with PD is knowing how long a person has been diagnosed. It would help to know when each person was diagnosed
My story is I have been diagnosed in 2013 before that I had many symptoms and had no idea what was wrong. My left side is the affected one with my left hand losing most of its dexterity. I kept on using my right hand for most of the things till now that that has kind of gone too. To begin with I tried just plain mucuna pruriens powder, did not notice much of a difference except after a while I got horrible diarrhea. Even water would Set It Off. I've been on Zandopa, again very mild improvement in symptoms. Tried sinemet IR 10/100 and 50 / 100 which made me ill from vomiting. That's when I started on the amino acids protocol all by myself. I think I must have an allergy to l-tyrosine which skyrocketed my blood pressure. I was on it for months and I felt definitely under medicated. Again very high blood pressure. Finally when I could hardly move I decided to go back to the neurologist whom I have not seen for over two years. Now I am taking sinemet CR 25 / 100. 3.5 times a day. I still don't have perfect days but I can move. So that is my story . I am hoping to find a doctor so I can go back on the amino acid protocol however I feel I have time left since I have not been on sinemet for a long time Mary
Parkie13 could you tell what was the dosage of Zandopa you'd been taking and whether you experienced any side effects?
I got up to three scoops a day
I've noticed positive results when replaced 100/25mg Madopar (levodopa / benserazide) with, 50mg of Madopar + half scoop (3.75g) Zandopa. Possibly the 12.5mg benserazide in Madopar gives that extra boost to natural levodopa when taken with half the dosage of Zandopa mucuna. It is not an advice, just a personal experience. I will keep noticing whether this synergistic effect is long lasting.
Hi I’m very interested in it but we live in oz and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who knows enough about it here. Any ideas?
I was looking into it but then discovered folic acid in some of the protocol formulas. Synthetic folic acid can be quite harmful for individuals with MTHFR genetic variants (which I have) as it can't be efficiently metabolized. According to some sources unmetabolized folic acid can block folate receptors and disturb folate metabolism.
Hi Mary, I’ve been on the AAT for a couple of years now, and, so far no regrets. As you may remember, I had a bit of an ldopa od, which left me a bit fuzzy and shaky, but quite comfortable. No off times, and better when the meds wore off than when under the influence.
Six months ago I went on LDN. Within a few weeks I felt overdosed, so I reduced the ldopa (in stages) from 3.9g/day to 2.1g. My mind is clearer, and less ldopa can only be good.
Hinz himself claims 70 - 80% symptom relief, which I guess is fair. Both AAT and LDN fight progression, so I am quietly hopeful in the long run.
Regards,
Peter
Sounds great. Myself I can really tell the difference when I skip couple days of LDN. I get worse both mentally and physically. Mary
Please let me know what AAT and LDN mean. For those who are relatively new to Health Unlocked forum it would be great if there was a place where we could refer to understand what these shortened versions mean or if everybody could use the full versions of medications or supplements so others can immediately identify them. Thanks so much from an utter novice. Suffering Socks
Thanks parkie13!
