Sleep and medical marijuana

Has anyone been prescribed medical marijuana as an aid to sleep and also as an anti-inflammatory for arthritis? My doctor prescribed these for me but I am skeptical of the efficacy of this use, so if you have been taking medical marijuana for any period of time please give me an idea of your experience. MM varies significantly in how it affects individuals. Many people describe potent pain relieving effects of MM, but for me it does not do that at any dose I have tried, it makes me acutely aware of every little pain I have with no pain relief at all. I have tried many other forms of pain relievers which were far more effective than MM. As far as a sleep aid, I find it very effective about 90% of the time.
