You are better far from the enrollment site , as it's a risky treatment in which the cells of the brain responsible for abnormal motor symptoms are destroyed

Hasn’t this already been carried out? There are several cases on YouTube who had this done in 2016. Is this trial really the first ?!

This is the expanded trial. The initial was only 31 people and it wasn't randomized double blind.

This is the type of serious study we need. A double blind test with a large group. It is the only way to find out if something really works, and separates from Placebo, personal bias, wishful thinking, power of suggestion etc.

Way better than the personal stories of I took xxxxx and felt better the next day, which is a study of one.

Especially with Parkinson’s disease when symptoms vary from hour to hour, day to day and month to month. It makes it easy for us to convince ourselves that something works, when the symptoms may have improved anyway.

Dadcor you are so right. I’ve been going down that track for months. Convinced myself I was onto something but in the end it was only my wishful thinking. Nothing will help me now. I simply have to accept that and do the best I can with my very limited abilities.

Come on Bridie.. :), yet limited we are alive and have to fight till breathing. Resolution will come, I know it. To just give up is too easy and not interesting. Challenge is what matters and pushes our brain cells to work..
