As a relative of folic acid, presumably this medication would have an adverse effect on people with the gene defect that makes folic acid very harmful to them

This is available as an over-the-counter supplement and is reported to have been recommended by Dr. Costantini in the amount of 8 milligrams daily in addition to the high-dose thiamine. I have been taking it for a few weeks without any noticeable effect.
