Ask your pharmacist. My understanding, the vitamin has no interaction. Doc Costantini recommends you continue taking meds. Excess vitamin is peeed out.

"My dads doc didnt say nor recommend ..." He is clueless. He also and probably not aware that now there is a vaccine to prevent polio.

I do take both L-Dopa (3 X 100 mg/day) and Thiamine hcl (2x100 mg IM /week) with nothing but good results.

Xenos can you explain what do you mean by good results?

Hello Hikoi

It's hard to explain : more energy, less apathy. Way less rigidity. My voice coming back from time to time.

How much Thiamine do you take each time?

How long before you began to notice a difference with Thiamine especially in regard to stiffness , thanks!

Hi Connie

after a day or two, it was amazing until the end of that first week. Really amazing. No stiffness, good gait, motivation...

Then it faded away, my old me was back.

Now it looks like it is better again, but less dramatically. I'm in week 12 of this "live experiment".

Yes you can take them together.

Related matter - a multivitamin or B-complex should be taken at least 2 hours apart from madopar / stalevo / sinemet because of a conflict with B6.

My husband is feeling so much better since starting Thiamine. It is quite noticeable to both of us. He hasn't started any meds yet, though I did just order mucuna pruriens for him. Very grateful for what I have learned from this site.

Could you tell the distinct improvements on your husband?

We buy the powder. We built-up his dosage. Just to see how he did. Started on March 21 with a heaping 1/2tsp. My scale showed 2 tsp to be 4 grams. He takes 1tsp in the morning, and 1at lunch. But he heaps it some, so he is taking more than 4 grams. He still has a tremor in his left hand. He isn't shuffling now and he has much more energy. He really had quite a bit of fatigue. He looks and feels good. He tells people about the Thiamine and how much it has helped him.

Do you put it in juice or water? What kind of powder do you buy? Where do you buy it from?

We bought this. amazon.com/BulkSupplements-...

It's very bitter, I guess, but he just spoons it in his mouth and drinks water.
