My husbands neurologist is ordering a sleep study. He is wondering how a sleep study can be done when he can only sleep for an hour and a half at a time? And, often he can't sleep in bed at all because he just can't get comfortable enough to actually start sleeping. He ends up napping, for very short periods, in his recliner.

If he just can't get comfortable enough to actually start sleeping your neurologist needs to address that instead of ordering a test for sleep apnea, which is what a sleep study is.
