Took 1 200mg, with 2 levo/cart i was ok, but felt somewhat drunk. 4 hours later took same dose, according to drs instructions. I thought i was going inscane. hallucinations and couldn't walk. never again......

It is often necessary to decrease levadopa dose when adding entacopone but it is a learning curve, getting to the right dose. Some people start on just one per day and that is sufficient for a while.

All our meds are powerful arent they. The drunk feeling would have been the extra levadopa in your system because the entacopone made more available.

I take Stalevo, which combines carbidopa, levodopa and entacapone in one pill. My neuromadvised changing to these gradually, one dose per day. This worked

I take a ½ Entacapone with 1 Carb/Levo (100mg) every 2 ½ to 3 hours. My MDS' nurse suggested it and it works great for me. I had terrible dyskinesia when I took a whole pill. The Entacapone definitely helps the other work quicker and last longer, but a 200mg dose is too much at a time, especially with 2 Carb/Levo. It sounds like you had an overdose effect. I wonder why they don't make smaller doses? The nurse said 100mg works better for a lot of patients with PD.
