Has anyone had problems with Entacapone (Comtan) side effects.

I have tried using ENTACAPONE 2 times. This time I used it for 4 weeks. I was taking 1 200 mg tablet every 4 hours 6 times a day. It did it's job it extended my on time about 30 minutes from 3 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes. But the side effects were not worth it. My legs stared to hurt almost all the time. I had muscle spasms every night. I started getting depressed a lot.

I didn't like the possible side effects, so I quit after three days. Risking vomiting and diarrhea didn't seem conducive to healing MY pd gut.

Was entacapone just added to your drug regimen or did it replace something?

What titration process did you go through?

Bailey when I took it I couldnt go above 4dday without feeling yuk.

Yes-I took 2 pills and started crying all day. The next day I had vomiting and diarrhea.

I had the same problem with Rytary as i have with entacapone. With Rytary i woke up around 2 am and could not talk all that came out was gibberish. I could read anything out loud
