I've been talking all the herbs listed here for about a month and a half which I bought in bulk from ameriherb.com and I have had wonderful results. No more stiff toes no more freezing right leg and emotional state of mind is excellent. The only difficulty I've had is getting a right arm tremor under control because the mucuna pruriens I bought is from nutrivita and its very strong and hard on my stomach so I'm playing with the dosage but the few times I've taken it although difficulty in digesting it has slowed the tremors impressively plus stiffness in right hand disappeared.

How did you determine the dosage for each?

Erniediaz1018 profile image
Erniediaz1018 in reply toJuliegrace

Those herbs, other than mucuna you may take a spoonful no need to measure. But you may want to do 1/2 tbs because it's alot of herbs to get used to

Juliegrace in reply toErniediaz1018

Are you taking that expensive stuff in the link above?

Erniediaz1018 profile image
Erniediaz1018 in reply toJuliegrace

Which stuff Julie? From the hekma website? NO. I used the website for info and then purchased herbs from ameriherb. Lots of trial and error. I've been a vegetarian for about 20 years recently after diagnosis a vegan for about 3 months. Have been experimenting with herbs for about 1 year; way before diagnosis. Some herbs are necessary to purchase in extract powder because they are more effective ie. Mucuna

What dose MP do you take please..

Erniediaz1018 profile image
Erniediaz1018 in reply toToogood

1/2 tsp. I've tested mucuna to be most effective when taken in green tea but I'm still getting used to digesting because it's hard on my stomach with the green tea. Otherwise its not as effective but easy digestion

If you're going to take the Nutiva 98% pure MP, please consider buying a jeweler's scale (<$20 on Amazon). 1/2 tsp is a massive dose. By my measurement, 1/32 tsp was 100mg.

Erniediaz1018 profile image
Erniediaz1018 in reply toJuliegrace

There are folks taking over 1000 mg a day.

Juliegrace profile image
Juliegrace in reply toErniediaz1018

I'm not saying don't take it, I'm just suggesting to know the size of your dose. I tried a protocol using the Nutiva MP/EGCG in the hope of reducing or eliminating dyskinesia. I had dyskinesia with a 40mg dose. For me it was critical to know the dose.

Hi Ernie

How did you go with your herbal treatment for Parkinson's? Any benefits

Erniediaz1018 profile image
Erniediaz1018 in reply toKvt40

Took a break from the herbs long ago. But using 100 % levodopa from Mucuna pruriens sold by nutrivita and B1 hdt, b6, b12, b3, magnesium, d3. Doing great

We've just bought the herbs from herbal suppliers and would like to give the herbs a go for my dad.

Did the treatment help and when did you reduce the Parkinson's medicine?

My dad has only started the Lions Mane as we are still waiting for the other herbs.

Herbs will definitely help but they become overwhelming because it’s just a lot to take. I would just narrow down three to use for the day now that I know better. Do not stop his medication.

Thank you.

I thought the main objective of taking the herbal protocol from Hekma Centre was to get you off the medicine and cure the Parkinson's?

We've ordered enough herbs for about a year from herbal suppliers. From your experience it sounds like herbs help but don't cure? And that you still need medicine.

You’re right but we have not discovered that treatment yet 😉 we will keep working on it together though

How’s it going?

Kvt40 profile image
Kvt40 in reply toErniediaz1018

Hi. Thanks for asking. My dad has been taking the herbs in powder form - 20ml (in water) twice a day (everything on the Hekma Centre website) and although he feels much better with regards his asthma, he hasn't really noticed any improvement with the Parkinson's. After taking the herbs, his chest feels great. He absolutely loves taking the herbs even though he says it takes awful.Recently he was re-evaluated as he has a lot of hallucinations and he was told he has Lewy Body Parkinson's Disease. I'm not sure how to treat that except I tried getting the herb uncaria rhynchophylla but I cannot find a supplier in South Africa. Do you know anything about that? I read that Lewy Body Disease could be lyme biofilms in the neurons of the brain. But I don't know enough.

Maybe I should get him on Gota Kola?

How are you?

I’m doing ok thank you for asking. Glad to hear your dad likes the herbs. Sorry don’t know anything about the herb you mentioned for Lewy body but gotu kola is a great herb for the brain

It's been awhile, Ernie!

In your experiments, did you ever test citicoline?

Since you were one of the earlier testers of HDT on this forum, what is your opinion of it and have you tried the dissolvable in the mouth thiamine mononitrate at lower dose?

Good to see your post!

hello Art, no, I never tested it. As far as HDT. I’ve lowered the dosage to 1000 mg. It keeps my energy up. I’ve never tried the dissolvable

chartist profile image
chartist in reply toErniediaz1018

With the dissolvable thiamine mononitrate (TM), some forum members have reported a better response than thiamine hydrochloride (TH) at a significantly lower dose, but not all testers of both. This one :

I think most people start at 1 tablet dissolved under the tongue. Not horrible tasting like TH powder, but not great either. Time helps with the taste.
