Hi everyone, My Dear Friend has just seen her Neuro who has recommended changing her Stanek for just Carbidopa/Levodopa and introducing Opicapone instead of the Entacapone ( which is in the Stanek) that she currently takes. Does anyone here take Opicapone and if so how are you doing with it?
Also her Neuro has said that she needs to take double the amount of Carbidopa/Levadopa as a transition from the Entacapone to the Opicapone, does`nt sound right to me, anyone any ideas?
Many Thanks

That is definately wrong the whole idea of opicapone is that it an easier to use version of entacapone in that it is taken only once a day and I believe it has less side effects. And both of these meds extend the life of Sinemet . I would really get a second opinion before you do something as crazy as double your meds
