Hi. Does anyone know how much protein we can it with sinemet

I eat 3 oz. lunch. 3oz. Dinner

most doctors will tell you not to eat any protein with sinemet as it interferes with sinemet getting to the brain - take sinemet on and empty stomach - either 1/2 hr before or 1 hour after a meal however my doctor said I could eat a cracker when I take it if it bothers my stomach, which is doesn't

My doctor sayed. In my case doesn’t matter. But I will do what you say. It makes sense.

If this really concerns you, ask your doctor to prescribe the Sinemet CR or controlled release version, then the timing of food is no longer important. The ordinary Sinemet should be taken about one hour before meals, and then you do not have to worry about protein. If taking Sinemet, it is best to take extra B vitamins at night.
