Hi, I'm getting nervous as my mom is about to have her intro appointment for the Hinz Amino Acid therapy. I really hope it is the best decision. Would really appreciate any thoughts/insights from people who have tried it. So wish I could just cure her.

Hi Sarah, my dad had PD and now I have it. I wished I could cure him back then, wish I could cure me now! We do the best we can...Don't second guess yourself. Trust your decisions and be open to changing course if necessary.
I haven't tried the Hinz protocol but it works well for some folks, I know someone who was satisfied with his results. Some get too much nausea (as others do with pharmaceutical PD drugs). There's no way to be 100% sure if it's the right match for your mom, but it's worth going down that road to find out, if she wants an alternative to pharmaceuticals.
Thank you very much, Rebtar. I think you are exactly right. I need to try to have faith in my decision! Will let you know if I discover anything wonderful. Doing nothing doesn't seem best either. Will update! Thank you for your kindness,
Be mindful of amount of Muccuna Pruriens taken, Can cause projectile vomiting. It did with me, which caused a tear in my esophagus. Other meds taken must be considered, Good Luck!
Yikes!! I hope not. I'm sorry for your experience. One thing I did learn is that if you have a certain atypical form of Parkinson's, like Dementia with Lewy Bodies, you can have a bad reaction to levodopa (I'm assuming that this would be in the form of either mucuna or Sinemet). Did you try Sinemet after your Mucuna experience?
