My mom has been taking Mannitol for 1 month and 5 days. I am getting very excited because she has her voice back. She struggled to talk before and you couldn’t hear her or even understand what she was saying. We will definitely keep taking this.

Mom with Parkinson’s on Mannitol
Thanks 1905. What other symptoms does she have? I found it improves my voice, improves my sense of smell, resolves constipation and then some, reduces tremor.
How much and when does she take it?
I mostly take a large amount first thing in the morning with Coffee ( with coconut oil). I tend to take more if eating a lot of carbs.
My profile has more info about my symptoms and treatment.
Her worst symptom is freezing up when I try and get her up to exercise and walk but she had stood up for me about 3 different times since taking mannitol. We started Oct. 1, 2017. I am taking it too just for precaution. We were taking 1/2 teaspoon at breakfast and 1/2 teaspoon at lunch. But yesterday I was conversing with someone on the Mannitol Balance page on Facebook and they said since Mom and I weigh between 120/125lb that we should be taking 2 Tablespoons a day. So I up our dose starting today. I add coconut oil to every meal too.
That sounds like a lot - best order extra toilet paper . I will probably need to up my dose too! Luckily it is relatively inexpensive.
I order ours through Amazon. I don’t know what Mannitol Balance charges for theirs.
My father using Mannitol Balance for several months now. he recorded noticeable improvement.
*There are many different type of Mannitol .
Mannitol Balance is the same mannitol that the professors used in that study,Don't buy the other stuff that you see online.
I will check theirs out.
That's really good to hear. Hope she continues to improve.
Does she eat a low sugar diet as well?
Mom doesn’t eat sugar. She has never been a sweets person.
So happy for you....I remember your post from earlier. Keep up the good work and keep supporting your own health. You may avoid PD, with what you are doing! It is not easy, but worth it!
