Parkinson meds treatment is very complicated, probably the most complicated condition there is to treat so it is very difficult to answer your question.

If you are giving your father mucuna puriens bean then you would eat it like any other food. He might find it helps a little but I doubt it will make much difference or everyone with pd would eat it.

People here talk about mucuna puriens which comes as a powder or a pill. It has l dopa in it which is what sinemet has in it. It is complicated to use as it depends where it is from, what strength it is and what your father needs. You will find more information on it by searching this forum using the search box.
