I can run with my walker, not very far, but it feels very liberating. I use a walker in areas where i have to get across a road/through a parking lot or areas with lots of people. If i try to walk quickly or if i feel rushed my feet freeze. It can be very frustrating. Yesterday i was( w/ my walker) at an outdoor mall w/ my daughter and it can be so annoying when i walk so slowly, so i began to push off on my toes and kind off sort of run.. i tried this several times until i was sort of running. I look lik a crazy old woman running wth my walker.
so can i transition from walking slowly with a cane or a walker to running with no assistive device?? any suggestions? I really would like to do this.
Can running help you get over the freezing?
