Mother with Parkinson's

I started my Mom on Mannitol yesterday. I know they said you won't notice any changes until about a month of taking it. And I expected as much since my Mom is at about stage 4. But I have to tell you that she just moved her legs for me while I was changing her diaper. She hasn't done that in almost a year or so. I don't want to get my hopes up this soon but I was very happy. I will keep you posted.

Wow, that's great! How much did she take? Where did you find it?

I bought it through AMAZON. For her weight she takes a Tablespoon a day. So I give her 1 teaspoon at breakfast in her oatmeal and then the other teaspoon at lunch. I just put it in whatever she's eating. You can put it in coffee and tea. She weighs about 120 or less. I am taking it too. Today she moved her legs again and even did some leg kicks. And she stood up for me with her walker from the bed. Usually I have to pull her up. I sure hope this is the answer to my prayers. I am getting arthritis in my hands from all the tugging, pulling and lifting I've had to do for Mom.
