I just purchase raw organic cacao powder not cocoa Cacao is the less refined product it can be used in cooking etc I just mix a heaped teaspoon with honey and warm water for hot chocolate

Chia seeds are also great!

Just beware if your on meds to check if these products are OK for you

No meds just Mucuna and NAC

Diagnosed 18mths symtoms over 4 years

Tremor dominant so Cacao assists with overall well being

Hi Ryan,

You sound like my husband.....who noticed internal tremors and micrographia. Of course he didn't notice that he was shuffling, too. Now he has " floppy fish" hands ( my expression) and he's going to Rock Steady boxing. I bought powdered MP but I don't know how much he should start with. 1/8 teaspoon?

And why do you take cacao?

His doctor is pretty mainstream so we're not going to find support for alternatives from him. I've seen the effects of a traditional drug regimen on my sister who has advanced PD. She is nauseous, stiff, miserable. I want to try alternatives before going down that path. Any suggestions/ detailed info would be appreciated.

Hi Bibsie

It's hard for me to give advice as I have learnt most of what I do from others on this website as well as Google

If your husband is on Meds he would need advice from others who combine both

I am Med free have left arm and leg tremor and foot dystonia

Came to the conclusion there is no Med that will fix me

I take 1 level tsp organic Mucuna with 1 NAC capsule each morning

Cacao is good for tremor and overall well being

I am physically active but try not to over do it too much

John Pepper is a good inspiration

But each of our symtoms vary so an individual approach is important but eating well and being active helps everyone

Cacao is a purer form with lots of antioxidants

I eat 3 pcs of Xocai chocolate per day. It is cacao with Acai berries processed a special way and has a high ORAC value. It, also, has also helped my overall well being.
