Seems that I am reducing the size of my doses of MP. Starting out I was taking 3-400 mg 3 or 4 times a day. Now I am taking 200 mg in the AM, 100mg after that as needed and 200mg at bed time. If I could go to bed at a reasonable time of night I would dose 4 times. Caring for my wife with MS keeps me up till 3 AM. I am still moving as slow as a turtle but getting daily household chores done for the both of us. Everything is harder to get done as the days go by but if I take more MP I do not get more energy I just get the shakes. So cutting back seems wise. Is it the summer heat causing reduced need for levodopa or improvement because of the Silvestrov protocol? My changes to Silvestrov's protocol are few, for example, I also use some GABA-plex in the AM (contains NAC and L-tyrosine). I also take ubiquinol 2-3 times a day along with a gel cap of glutathione precursor formula. And I eat pineapple and drink pineapple juice a lot. Will keep you posted if I figure this out.

reducing usage of MP (mucuna pruriens)
I was taking a large dose of MP initially but now take just about 40 gms, 4 to 5 times a day along with syndopa 110. It acts faster than Syndopa ( Sinemet in India).
Is that 50 grams or milligrams and what strength l dopa
I use Zandopa. Sorry, it is not 50 gms but 15 gms, approx.
I please explain.
Zyndopa is sinemat
Zandopa is MP? what stragth .it is important for compering
I also use mucuna and sinamat.what to learn from your expirience
Do you want to know the strength of the MP I use? The strength of it is 62.5%. I buy 160 mg capsules from SOURCE NATURALS company. Each capsule contains 100 mg of Levodopa. If I were you I would no take a whole 100/25 Zyndopa at the same time as taking Zandopa or at least be careful if you do it. Be well and safe.
Okay, I am still intending to continue the "Silvestrov protocol" and here is my latest guess about the phenomenon of reducing dosages. Since I last touched on this topic I have gone through a few more bottles of the MP product I use, I now believe I have been puzzled by nothing other than irregular manufacturing/standardizing of the encapsulated doses. The bottle I recently opened may be so much stronger (or possibly tainted by some impurity); 1 capsule has consistently made my tremor worsen. I temporarily reverted today to using some Sinemet and was able to remedy the tremor easily. I won't accuse the brand name at this time but tomorrow I will open the next bottle and see if there is a different result. For tonight I am using Sinemet so I can get some sleep.
Alright! Its morning 11 AM, I managed to get 6 hours sleep in 3 segments (damn Sinemet). I now believe the MP brand was apparently not the issue causing my tremor to worsen. I think it was the green tea extract I was taking with every MP capsule-my EGCG isn't decaffeinated. Today I am using Teavigo decaf EGCG and I have taken MP (same bottle that was suspect) with no tremor issue. Tralala and on we go, living and learning.
