Neuro patch

My Doc. wanted me to try the patch. I started on 1 mg and felt ok was sleeping all night and no restless legs. I went to 2 mg after a week and it has not improved the tremor and I have bad anxiety. Does anyone use the patch and how long does it take to start working? Thanks

My OH has the patches along with stavelo and azilect. The patches have to start on a very low dose and be upped gradually. Started 2mg for 2 weeks then upped to 4mg for 2 weeks then upped to 6mg. There are higher doses but my OH Neuro is happy with him at this level. His tremor has completely gone, he is like a new man, he is doing great, how long it will continue is the big question? just got to keep positive and pray x

I use the patch 8 mg which I do well on. They worked immediately, depending on if there are other drugs to be weened off of. Also take Sinemet several times a day a CR(Time release) and regular. The patch may not be your answer it could be to strong or you may need a supplement medication.or It could be Parkinson just being Parkinson, one never really knows, Good luck!

My patch did not work until i got up to 6 mg and works best at 12 mg

iam happy doing with neupropatch for atleast 5 yearsfor the moment i take 8 mg.and stalevo and azilect no side effects untill now..

If you are talking about the Nupro patch my husband used it. He was on Requipt and the doctor wanted him off it. His legs were swelling very badly. Doctor thought the patch might not make this happen. We stopped the Requipt medicine by mouth and only had the patch. He started at 2 and since he had already been on the Requipt he could up the amount quickly. Do you know it is the same drug as Requipt? So he got him up to 12 mg. He did terrible as far as the swelling. It got worse and he also got a rash all over his leg which he had the patch on. Not only under the patch but all over the leg. We had to stop using it. The main thing I want you to be aware of is that the side affects can be terrible. If you don't get them it is a great drug!!! God bless you and may HE make it work for you!!!
