comfort food

There is a reason we refer to calming food items as comfort foods. As a pwpd I like yeast breads, a lot. I find I sleep better and get up feeling calmer after having a yeasty bread with supper, for example fresh warm yeast rolls or a vegetarian pizza on a thick doughy crust. Mmmmm, Yeast! Its whats good for pwpd. Do you have favorite comfort food?

My guy loves breads and cereals. I get very dismayed but he can wolf down three boxes of cereal in a week. 😫 He's very hard to cook for because he won't try new things, doesn't like most fruits and veggies, etc.

Is the statement you made about yeast your opinion or fact based?

Unless it makes you ill, I think comfort foods are a must!!

Comfort foods are food for the soul.

Struggling as we do with so many other things, I believe it is important we find comfort in something.

No one can tell you what your comfort food should be. Only you know.

Mine are bread too.

Be the Caption of your own soul.

In kindness, Eva G. :)

Yay! Another member of the bread before bed fan club. Do you ever go nuts and make toast with a spread of natural oily peanut butter and a fruit jam before bed? I do but then I have to stay up awhile or the peanut oil wil give me some esophageal burning. Otherwise its one of my other favorites besides yeast rols and piza crust. Sometimes I add some banana to it also. I should be fat but I'm not. :)

My son and I will throw our pizza crust away, my wife and daughter complain that we are wasting perfectly good food. Perhaps a deal, now we cut the crust off the pizza crust and they eat it. OOOOH but fresh out of the oven sour dough bread that is heaven on earth.

LOL Hey, I give myself a hearty sigh of happiness if I can fasten one of those small buttons on a long sleeve shirts cuff. I'm ill. What you have on pizza causing cancer or is it yeasst bread that s dangerous now? Its always somethin, said Roseanna Dana (Gilda Radner). Give it up what's scaring you that we shoud know?

nothing is scaring me my faith is with the Lord. Roseanna is right and it will continue to be so for those who do not hark the wakeup call. An absolutely great beginning would be to investigate Budwig Cancer Centre or go to yahoo groups and type in Budwig group or go to Cancer Tutor. Flours and grains are forbidden on a cancer diet. Remember the saying..address your health be!fore your health addresses YOU. Perhaps the number one thing is...you have to want to recover your health.

If you are truly ill there is only one way to go nutritionally...cold turkey. Regaining your health will take dedication and commitment. I will pray for your success. A journey of 1,000 miles begins with the first step.

For $12.61 on sale at Amazon the Budwig cause and cure for cancer book. For $11.91 at MARCO's a fresh handmade thick crust garden pizza. Hmmm...not a tough decision hopedope. Thanks for being concerned about my diet and health. You are kind and helpful. Don't worry about me anymore, it's God's will that determines when its time for me to leave this Earth. If God needed me to avoid garden pizza he would make it taste bad.

Support for my observation on "yeasty" breads found within a scholarly post by aspergerian today. Open the link disbelievers, "observed effects of yeast amino acid metabolites on the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer's and Parkinson's) and angiogenesis, focusing on evidence of the molecular mechanism involved and identification of molecular targets." Beer and pizza for everyone! :)
