Has anyone had really bad indigestion. I was awake all night with a terrible burning in my throat I still have it today although some better. Could it be something I am eating or not eating. Any advice would be appreciated as to what I can take for this.

Thanks

Enzymes really help. A good one that I have used is made by Garden of Life it is ultra ultimate digestive enzyme. Food combining also works carbohydrates and protein don't mix. Eating late at night might be another one. Beware of gluten and gluten products You might want to have your upper body raised in bed. You could try some cider vinegar and see if it helps especially if your stomach acid is low. My husband has a lot of stomach acid so he uses baking soda all the time and that seems to help. Some people with diabetes might have something called gastroparesis, which is delayed emptying of stomach contents. If you have that I would suggest reading dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution he explains that and goes into a solution. But I would try enzymes they really work. Mary

I've experienced this during my 12+ years of being a YOPD Warrior. I cut out tomatoes 99.9%. Ketchup ok in small amounts because vinagrer & sugar lower acidity levels. I also cut out orange juice as well as any other acidic foods or drinks like coke, Pepsi & all caffeine. I keep a bottle of good ol pink pepto for the rare occasion I experience acid reflux but take the least amount possible because I don't want to have constipation which for many will become some a symptom of Parkinson's. Talk to your Neurologist about diet and how it may affect your Parkinson's symptoms as each person may have a different symptoms and different medications. Hope this helps.
