Neurologist gave me Cymbalta but I can't sleep on it so I don't take it.

I take a low dose of Remeron otherwise known as mirtazapine 15 milligram and it seems to help Stave off depression. By the way if my post typing errors it is because I speak my post instead of typing because typing is too much work for these Parkinson's hands.

Sorry Luba, I was asking tmjennings. I am the caretaker for a PD 54 year old. He suffers from ANXIETY, but not depression.

I take Zoloft and I'm doing very well on it. I was on Remeron years ago after a year being on it I developed all sorts of problems...not with anxiety but with my liver and blood pressure and blood glucose. After I weaned off it those problems went away. Could be just me...who knows.

Sometimes I think we interpret the internal tremors as anxiety when it is actually our PD that is causing the feeling of anxiety when we are not really worried or anxious about anything.

I also take the generic of Zoloft. It is doing me a world of good. I got so bad that I would just start shaking all over when ever I tried to shoot pigeons off my roof. It got so bad I had to submit to the will of those uppity stuck up rats with wings. Today its all good. Bye bye pigeons.

If I don't take it I may not sleep that night only take 2 1 in the morning and once in the evening. He has prescribed three a day so that always takes one less what he said.

I use 30 mg of remeron nightly and it wipes out any anxiety with no side effects.
