Hair loss???????
I have been loosing hair too Peaches!
And I do not like it!!
I think it is caused by stress.
I work a lot on keeping my stress down.

My hair completely stopped growing for several months and began to thin out while I was on Kinson and Azilect. However, when I added SifrolER to the mix, my hair started to thicken again and grow like crazy. Making up for lost time!!
Thanks for your reply.
Slight thinning on my head and complete loss of hair from just above my knees and below. Hair loss on my legs started about 10 years before PD diagnosis. I am currently taking senemet and azilect plus lots of exercise, I am feeling pretty good.
I experienced a period of hair loss when I started Sinemet, but then it stabilized after a few months.
It stopped coming out in clumps and seems to be growing back nicely. Whew!
I am SO glad to hear that! I am not ready for the bald look! Thanks for the info.
My hair started to fall out too. It is so thin that you can see my scalp, I went to see a dermatologist who told me to start taking vitamins for your hair and to buy shampoo that cost 40 dollars. I think that the vitamins are really helping. I read an article that said people who take carbo/levodopa have B vitamin deficiency because the medicine blocks the B6. I take my vitamins at least an hr after I take meds and my hair is growing again. However, It is still thin.
There is always the wig option Peaches😊many of my healthy friends wear rags and they are beautiful.
Oh NO! Let's not get that far yet......
yes! (I'm a 65 yr old woman, & was diagnosed withPDin 2004.) I didn't even realize I had any hair loss until my hair stylist said "well this is new." I had a completely bald area on the top of my head that measured about 1/2 x 4 inches!
She quickly told me not to worry, she had several other clients who had the same problem & proceeded to tell me to see a dermatologist and he would most likely give me a shot of steroids and the problem would be corrected. Which is exactly what happened. The Dr told me i had
"random alopecia" and it hasn't happened again.--but my hair now sticks straight up in corkscrew. if you know the Kramer character on the TV show, Seinfeld, you can imagine it's not the best look for me.
good luck to you.
