Does anyone have problems with feet especially big toes? Have had a numb tingling feeling on top of both feet and inflamed painful big toe
Shalom I'm from Israel
Have numb tingling feeling like you but not only in my feet.
Have been diagnosed 3 months ago , take only Azilect so far, next month will see the Doc again.
My first symptoms were in my right foot and toes; tingling and clenching of the toes. That progressed over a decade, moving up my right leg and farther; then one day I noticed my right arm wasn't swinging when I walked. That got me to go in to a specialist who diagnosed me (July, 2011). It was after that point that similar symptoms began appearing in my left foot, though not yet as fully as on the right foot. One thing that happened, however, was a severe inflamation of the big toe on my left foot. I thought it was gout, but the doctor said it was an infection. I also developed type 2 diabetes around this same period, so the infection may have been related to poor circulation in the foot. I was on antibiotics for a couple of weeks and haven't had any further problems with infection, although the toes always seem to be slightly inflamed.
Are your big toes starting to stick up . I thought my husband had gout at one time . it can be a lot like cramp I believe . think it's dystonia.
I get that sort of thing mainly on one side my right also foot twist and curls up ,Now that is pain full at the same time foot get very hot .
yes mine started like that on left. Frozen ankle , tendonitis from muscle tension in inner thigh .
Don't forget. Just because you have Parkinson's you still can get and have other health problems alongside your Parkinson's. Your big toe sounds like gout. Might want to get it checked out as gout is so painful. I'm not a doctor mind you, but have seen and experienced gout problems and that is what it sounds like part of your problem might be.
I agree with SAM, get checked out for gout, which can be extremely painful.
Your vitamin B6 level could be too high if you take it as a supplement. If so, stop taking the supplement. Sometimes they add B6 in multi-vitamin supplements. It may take a long time to recover.
I have had cramping and dystonia in my feet for a few years. My toes and feet curl, go into muscle cramping like charlie horses, and swell and hurt. I get botox injections 4 times a year, take aleve, and bought expensive sneakers. helps most days
