A new TENS device (webmd.com/migraines-headach... for preventing migraines has just been approved by the FDA and can be purchased. Just wondering if it could have a positive effect on PD symptoms like DBS?
Has any any used transcutaneous electrica... - Cure Parkinson's
Has any any used transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) for PD symptoms?
yes I have and it does help, Ive also used magnets and they are very good. I have awful backache and a 240 strong magnet works great on the pain, in fact it has given me some quality of life again. I cannot sing their praises enough. Hope this helps!!
check out Fischer Wallace company. I might try this as an approach to nontoxic treatment
I get severe leg cramps; especially in my hamstrings. Some-times I take a muscle relaxer, Tizanidine 2 mg tables, and other times my TENS unit works great.
My fiance gets severe migraines, and uses a TENS unit that reduces the pain really well.
Very good TENS units can be purchased for less than $80.00 U.S. Hope you find re-leaf soon...
Excuse my ignorance, but how can DBS be a symptom of Parkinson's? I was thinking it was surgical procedure for providing an implant in the brain (referred to sometimes as a "brain pacemaker" for pwp.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.
My Neuro was just talking to me that I may possibly need such surgery to help with my tremors - but, I'm not there yet.
