Yes I had a sleep study done last Thursday and have to have the second part tonight and I guess I am going to have to use a cpap machine. I am not looking forward to this. My husband says a snore and stop breathing frequently.
Hi Harding55 I have been using a cpap machine; takes a while to get used to and feel like someone from outer space wearing the mask, but it made a big difference in my life. Good luck. I saw that their is going to be a new medication on the market - awaiting approval! Regards
Thanks for posting. I was diagnosed with significant sleep apnea in September 2013. I am also being considered as a trial participant at Emory for a study regarding sleep disorders associated with Parkinson's.
I have had severe sleep apnea for several years, and I use a cpap machine every night. My mask leaks, and
my doctor has scheduled a second overnight sleep study for March 19. Thanks, Anid, for posting about the
new medication. I hope it will be available soon.
Hi Lillee76
cbsnews.com/news/new-sleep-... New Jersey - so in South Africa? I don't know when we will be lucky enough to be treated with this medication. If you have a cold, it is impossible to sleep with the mask - some nights I sleep with it from going to bed until I wake up, some nights I just can't tolerate it for more than 2 hours!
