if it is caused by enlarged prostate, I suggest a regular diet of coconut oil
A visit to the Doctors first, because there are medications available.
When you lay down any fluid retained goes into the bladder as urine especially at night .
It became a big problem to us , my husband couldn't get out of bed and I was in and out of bed all night . The GP arranges a continence nurse to visit and she arranged for him to use a convene and overnight bag .No more getting in and out . It further improved when he was prescribed a water tablet , this emptied the bladder property during the day . Make sure you don't stop drinking and check with the GO

My husband was told by the doctor to stop drining coffee.
Apparently it's an irritant . it can sometime be hard to drink enough fluid . I try and make sure my husband always has a glass of water in front of him . Sometimes I flavour it or even put a drop of lemonade in with it . Makes it more palliative .Try and drink more in the morning especially .
my husband just started on vesicare and he only gets up once at night and no leakage during the day.
Our loved ones need lots of fluid (water is best) but during the day. No water after dinner many are told but look into this because every case is different.
