My uncle is suffering from Parkinson's , he fell over a couple month ago causing head injury, after surgery, part of his skull was removed. I wonder if anyone knows where I can get a protection cap for him to prevent form future fall?
Cheers,
Alice

Hi Alice. I may sound a bit callous when I say, "Wear a crash helmet". But I don't mean to be callous at all. A crash helmet is just the ideal thing for the job. Many young people wear them for roller-skating, togrether with knee and arm guards.. I have had many falls, which have caused bodily injury but have never hurt my head. I should be sensible and wear arm and knee guards, but in the heat here in South Africa, I get very uncomfortable walking fast and perspring so much. Perhaps vanity is my problem, although I don't think I am vain.
I have a recliner and it cost more, but is streamlined, all leather, and soft/comfortable cushions. I use it 24/7 as a bed. I use a I/2 size electric blanket and a college I/2 size regular game blanket for adequate warmth. It was custom made by a company in NC. If you still need a name get back to me. I bought it a the Ink Well furniture store in Corvallis Oregon. It's worth every bit the price and more. I bought a blue sponge rubber square exercise pad to get my legs higher on the foot rest.
I recently purchased a bike helmet for $60. to use working in the garden. It's a plain style not the fancy "Flash Gordon" type. It buckles easily, fits snugly, and has a removable visor. Fortunately, I haven't tested it yet
If you type Medical Helmets into your brouser you will come up with several places that sell the various types, inquire of your Dr. or theapist which is best for you.
