DBS they will not change the battery . Feel like I am in some sick study. For over a year I have been told the battery is good for 3 months.

I say you said that last time and the time before . I told them its not working only to be told it is. I ask them to prove it and turn it off. Only to be fob off with if we turn it off may not be able to switch it on again . I don't believe them. my question is has any had a DBS switch off and on again, how was it . Also has anyone been told they battery has 3 month left time and time again .

This sounds most odd. I understand that batteries have a shelf life of five years. The remote control unit should indicate if the battery is OK.

Can you ask for one?

The remote control unit is given to those with DBS by Medtronics. It will tell the remaining amount of battery life. Usually it's between 3-5 years depending on battery usage.

my husband has a control to his DBS and he turned it off to see how it would feel. He left the setting as they were and when he turned it off he did not feel any different. When he turned it back on he got a jolt. It really hurt his head. He decided he should have first turned down the settings before turning it off. Then maybe it would not have hurt so bad. He has not ever been told he had only 3 months left on the battery life. He will have had his only 1 year Oct. 1. Very different care in the United States. I'm sorry you are having so many problems Export.
