Thanks Balderdash, I still do not know the safe dosage limit to give to the woman. She is my aunt and there is no facility to measure her Vitamin D level.

The answer to your question has,so many variables and potential consequences, vitamins are essential yes but substitution by unprescribed over the counter supplements should be treated with the same respect as prescription medication.Advisory notice and dosage instructions as required should be included.

Without a serum blood,to measure current level, can you know what amount to safely take.I dont know.

I had my husbands vit d-3 blood tested and it showed it was very low, he now takes a liquid vit d-3 amount our Physician recommended. He is also on vitamin b complex liquid, plus cq 10 liquid, plus multi vitamin plus cal/mag liquid, omega-3, and b-12, Lecithin granules, I also give him Super Thisilyn. I am giving him what our Physician recommended. He also tested very low in TETOSTERONE and gets shots, I have seen change for the better. Thankful for the physician he now has. Hope your Aunt can get tested so her physician can recommend what would be correct amt.

I had blood work done by my GP and she put me on 4000IU a day. It a good idea to be tested first.

Its also important to have repeat blood testing to monitor the levels,3

to 6 monthly
