Good mourning everyone, hope you are doing well today. I have had RA over 45 years with many ups and down. Two weeks ago my knne gave out and could not walk or put any pressure . Found out I torn my maniscus and Acl in my good knee, now looking at surgery to repair it with several months of rehab. Please be alert with pain in knees, may be because of this not knowing it.

Hi Scrappie - It is amazing to me how easily you can tear your medial meniscus.. I tore mine going down the steps of all things. The microsurgery is pretty simply done, but yes some rehab. however, no pain from it after it heals. Good luck with the procedure. Let us know how you do!

Hello, Caeryl Knee surgery was easy but I am having trouble with the rehab. Gone sis times already feeling good after wards but later in the day and next can barely walk without the walker. Am icing down the knee and behind which helps a little. The exercises are not hard but the pain afterward is a killer. Is this normal and will it go away. Feels like a ran a mile.

I'm not sure if it is normal or not for a knee, but I know when I go to my chiro for back or shoulder, it is the same thing. Good at the time, really sore afterwards. I would recommend that unless your doc told you otherwise, stretch gently after the P/T, and let it rest a lot. Otherwise I think you run the risk of straining it. Hope it feels better soon
