Good Morning,
I was wondering if we have an organization in the United States like NRAS. I read alot of posts from people in the UK that say they are very helpful. Thank you

Good Morning, Yes and it's called American RA Warriors. I found it by poking around on this site. Although the U.K. site is wonderful, it seems their health care system is very different.
RAwarrior is one person. She's great and does a lot to help but she doesn't have a hotline or a group of people dedicated to answer questions.
The healthcare in the U.K. is social. They don't purchase health insurance and pay very little compared to the US. My understanding is that the National Health System in the U.K. is highly stretched and they do a wonderful job of trying to help their citizens with online and telephone assistance as much as possible to take off some of the burden on doctor visits, etc. They do a great job- not sure if there is something like it in the states.
Hi
Don't know if you are familiar with the Arthritis Foundation. They have a very good website and lots of helpful information. I get frequent emails from them. Have been to a program that the local chapter organized in this area. A rheumatolgist gave a talk and others with RA were there. We don't have the same health care system in the US but hopefully you have a good specialist and a nurse or someone at the office to speak to. Luckily I live in the Boston area so no shortage of specialists here. I try to read as much as I can about RA and keep a daily diary of symptoms etc to recall facts for the doctor appts
Hope that helps !
