I just wanted to share some good news with my friends here. For my 'new friends, I will recap- diagnosed with seronegative RA August 2016 after over a year of symptoms and five month wait for a rheumy. I started on MTX which was increased and am now on 15mg MTX, folic acid, gabapentin. I have had issues with frozen shoulder since March and have been in physical therapy for what seems like forever. But I have now been cleared to get back in a pool! I used to surf, so besides running, swimming is my thing. I am allowed to do breaststroke for 5 minutes and if that works, I can do crawl/freestyle and water jogging. I am so happy about this! All my work on therapy and working with my handful of specialist is paying off! Thank you Amy_Lee for you encouragement to keep moving! I can also do statiionary bike as long as I don't overdo. My goal is to get back to training for a mini- triathlon. This journey has not been easy or without pain and frustration. I have had a couple of falls recently that are requiring a vestibular/balance eval this week, but I press on! This is the closest I've been to my pre-diagnosis self that I have experienced and it gives me hope.ππ½ββοΈππ»ββοΈπ΄πΌββοΈπ₯π

Hi there good to see your progress is good after your injury and the water is great for the joints, I go swimming most mornings and I go to water aerobics 2 a week I'm also seronegative and on a Bisomar (Benepali) along with mtx both injections
That's good news. Everything feels so much better when you can get back to some normal exercise. Enjoy your time in the pool.
Whoop Whoop!! I'm so happy for you. Enjoy the new you!!
The water felt great! I made the first five minutes of breaststroke but couldn't do crawl/freestyle without pain so I did aqua running for five minutes. I finished with another five minutes of treading water and breaststroke. It's a start. I'm excited to add this to my list of things I CAN doπ€
