Hi ab1711 - The arthritis UK foundation says it takes 6 or more weeks, so it won't be right away, I'm sorry to say.. I think pretty much everything takes a while

Hi, I found that it takes a good 3 months before you know if a med is working. You may need to do additional blood work to see if inflammation markers are reducing. I did 3 months on Enbrel, 3 months on Humana at 1 injection every 2 weeks, then went to weekly, that wasn't helping went to Actemra every other week for 3 months then every week, now I'm on Zeljanz which is a weekly pill. Pray for all of us!

It does take weeks to months for most of the medications to kick in. So don't get discouraged. It takes a while for them to get into your system and then get regulated. Good luck!

Unfortunately, it takes a little while. Although we want instant relief, you have to be patient. This disease is not all that fun, fight from within. I have had it for 8 years and the beginning was the worst. I know teach PE at a high school and coach volleyball year round. I refuse to allow the pain and this disease to win. I crash at home and sleep for 12-13 hours on the weekend frequently. Please be patient with yourself it will get better. :)
