Hi has anyone had ear problems with RA.

I have an infection that wont go away, my left ear itches like crazy.

Doctor put me on antibiotics so I have to go off Methotrexate.

Worried the really severe pain will come back

I have. Had a left ear infection for the first time in my life. 64 years old. I am on MTX too. Feel like I have some hearing loss so have appt with ENT. The ear infection was about 4 months ago. I'll post what the ENT finds.

Good Luck. Hopefully the MTX is in your system and will ward off discomfort.

Have you been to an ENT for your ear? Sounds you need a stronger follow up doc. Does the cartilage in your ear hurt if you try to sleep on your side?

I agree about an ENT, I went to a walkin doc and my GP doc and it still wont go away.

Yes it hurts when I lay on my side.

It itches terribly and it drains too, I know, gross

Also I have more pain and stiffness since I have been off of te MTX
