New to this site. My doc diagnosed me a year ago. Finally saw rheumatologist last month. Was not impressed. I was started on plaquanil but told will take 3!months to find relief. Oh come back in two months. He also said the fatigue and brain fog had nothing to do with RA. True? I'm feeling very adrift.

Search for a different doctor, fast, fast.

One doctor kept looking at his watch. Proceeded to say multiple times try this oops can't do this because I didn't do this. After 8 min he wrote a scrip for blood work and left.

Moved to Duke university medical.

Poor response, poor bedside attention find a new one.

For me fatigue and brain fog are definitely related to RA. Still searching for right balance of Meds 2 yrs after official diagnosis. Am on sulfazaline now. Methotrexate did nothing. I was diagnosed with very low vitamin d and began prescription for that. Something no one thought to try to diagnose until now. Think my fatigue factor is better after treating that. I have four autoimmune diseases. Battling them all.

I've had brain fog since just prior to my breakout almost 6 years ago. Unless the physician has RA, they don't know what we go thru. They are "practicing" medicine. We all may suffer from the same disease, but we all also have different effects from it. Hang in there! You are NOT alone! 💜💙
