Hi lovinh20 - Welcome to the board. you will find many wonderful people here, many with the same issues that you list.

I'm sorry you are in such pain. It sounds like it is not well controlled at this point, and that is an issue. These conditions are hard enough when they ARE controlled, but worse of course, when not.

Here's sending you gentle hugs..

well welcome and you can add a sense of humor to your list -and that's a very good one to add! Sorry you are dealing with such pain. It does sound like perhaps you don't have the proper pain management plan not that these medications take care of all pain-sorry to say. I don't know if you have tried any yoga/ meditation/ heat/ cold therapy or PT. Tell us more about what your treatments and current medications. Also what country you are from

I hope we are able to support you here and give advice that will help

Hi Gloria814,

I go to a pain management clinic Aug 8 was the soonest they could get me in. I had injections done end of May, l5-s2 area. Took about 2-3 weeks before my hip, leg and feet pain eased off. That wore off end of june. My primary doc give me my pain meds lortab 10 & lyrica 300mg. The fatigue and not having the get up aand go is eating me alive. I have had two opinions on my spine issues and both doc said iwould end up needing surgery every 4 years, same with my knees. Will seehow the pain management place goes. It is inside the hospital so I believe they have access to all kinds of tools. Til then limping and believing

Welcome! No shortage of monkeys here! You just have to learn how to tame yours. Everyone has suggestions- I know mine is not new, but be kind to yourself and give yourself the same grace you give others. Often when one monkey arrives, their family of villains follow. We support you and I send all good wishes and gentle hugsD🏃🏽‍♀️

I would just be thankful for a for your doctor; mine doesn't think people need pain leds. Luckily my old one did and I had her speak to my GP before she retired. Or I'd be 33 and bed ridden. Pain everyday sucks. It makes me grouchy and I get frustrated when I can't be apart of family activities because I know I have already used all my allotted chips for the day so I know I need to rest. But I don't want to rest. I want to live my life actively. But we get used to it and accept it. And other days not so much. So sorry your in pain; perhaps speaking with your doctor?

I was thankful but my gp just told me due to crackdown on the opioid crisis he is not prescribing anymore to anyone. He said too much of a pain in the but with followup paperwork from the feds. I go to pain clinic next week will see how that goes.i hope you get to feeling better and hold onto your chips. All we can ask for is a good day and then another good day. Lol

I am glad you got an appt to the pain clinic even though not til Aug--fairly soon

Dont know why surg on the knees every 4 yrs or so but I know you have a spondo .and ddd. I would hope the bursitis could be managed as well as the plantar f. I know from others that it can be quite painful. Are you able to get to a heated pool or just too difficult. Please let us know how you are doing esp after your pain clinic appt

I live in rural USA and closest grocery store alone is over 20 miles away. There is the ymca about 50 miles from me but i am close to the lake. I go when i can. This is frustrating illness. My appointment is coming up august 8 and wondering how that will go. I know it will be expensive if i have to go often, my copay is 60.00 each time. Wish me luck!

In meantime, while awaiting Aug. 8 appt., "Pain Concern" forum may have some additional useful ideas, lovinh2o: healthunlocked.com/painconcern 😌

I wish you the very best of luck! What type doc are you seeing? That is a costly copay. It all adds up, doesn't it/ Write down your questions/ concerns for the doc so you don't forget at your appt--keep a diary of your daily symptoms to report to that doc
