Hi everyone. I started on azathioprine 50mg 2 weeks ago and the nausea is horrendous! I had my bloods done on Thurs, and depending on the results I am supposed to titrate up to 100mg, but unless this settles, I don’t think I can take a higher dose. I am trying to persevere in the hope it improves my crohns in the long run but I’m struggling! Anyone else experienced this, or have any advice? Thank you

I was on Aza for 4 years and used to take it in the evening immediately after my meal. That worked well for me - nausea was never a problem. When do you take yours?
I was on azathioprine for a while without nausea then the nausea kicked in to the point I was somwtimes sick. Spoke to IBD Nurse got changed to mercaptopurine and all ok at the moment.
Azathioprine was terrible for me with nausea, liver enzymes to the roof. We had to switch to mercaptopurine and so far good.
