Hi, yes I take organic Turmeric capsules with Bioperine. You need the bioperine in it to make it absorb properly. I have Crohn's disease/colostomy bag. I have taken it for 5 months and as far as I can tell it hasn't done me any harm.i take it as it's supposed to be good for inflammation. It's always good to read up about it for yourself so you can make your own mind up. Take care.

Hi and yes I take it. Although used in cooking in the middle and Far East it was first used as a medicine. Now found in many foods, but like all meds and spices just a little at a time and if no bad side effects you can increase the amount. But, always check with your doctor and try to find information about how, which and when is the best time to take additives.

Thanks Billi, I have been 'badmouthed' for highlighting how important it is to check un-prescribed items with GP. These things are mostly safe, but at times can interact with certain medication. An important one is echinacea and immunosuppression therapy

I have read about turmeric, but haven't tried it for the same reason you haven't. My gastroenterologist told me to avoid spices, and turmeric is a spice. I am not planning to try it.

I add a small pinch to my green tea as I've also heard it's good for inflammation. I don't think it's doing me any harm

I have been taking it for inflammation not related to my crohns but I'll be dammed, ever since I started it my stools are not as loose. And I only go once or twice a day as opposed to eight times a day. Now maybe this is coincidental and I had a miracle or something, but I relate it to the turmeric
