Spooks...poor visibility and a soggy bottom....

so, last night was my second run in Week 2.

Had plotted my route - a flatter one. Had drunk little glasses of water throughout the day and was determined to make a go of it as compared to Mondays kerfuffle.

It was absolutely piffing it down with rain but out I went. Determined. Grrr!

And I did it! Well, I almost had a heart attack when a flying pumpkin came towards me, but I ran for the times that Laura said. I did have a little break after the last run. Honest, my little legs were running like the clappers and they needed a little rest. No seats so parked me arse on a little grass verge and had 2 minutes sit down. Grass wet, still piffing it down, hence the soggy bottom.

I actually liked running in the rain. Cooling. I do need a little hat with a cap on it though. I couldnt see a bleedin thing sometimes between the rain and my puffing breath steaming up me glasses!! I nearly come a cropper against a lamp post - now THAT would have been funny!

Friday night run then tomorrow. Will see how it goes. Have already said to myself that if I find it too much I may just repeat the week. Last thing I want is to push myself, find it too hard and give up. Not this girl!! Slow but steady...... :-)

thanks all. We can do it!! :-)

Hey well done. Sounds like you had an adventurous run and still stuck at it. If you feel you need to repeat a week why not try just repeating one run? the steps ups week by week aren't actually as bad as you think.

I dreaded the next week but i'm about to run wk8 run3 tomorrow morning. You can do it. Trust the program (and Laura)

Good luck

Love the blog :) well done, I also enjoy running in the rain although I do think they need o do wipers for glasses as it does become very difficult to see. Looking forward to hearing how you got on with the next run :)

Your description made me giggle - I've got a similar sense of humour...

I wanted to do the whole thing in the 9 weeks and felt well up for it - have always said there's nothing you can't do if you want it enough, however... I've had to accept it's going to take me a lot longer. I stumbled at week 4...I perserved and did all 3 but I didn't manage the whole thing even once.

I've dropped back to week 3 and will stay there until I'm running it comfortably. Failing knocked my confidence so this time I;m going to do it at my own pace

p/s I like running in the rain too - was damp and misty this morning at first light but felt so good and fresh in the park :-)

Your blogs always make me smile. :-) I believe you easily are the only runner I have heard of dodging flying pumpkins! :-) I hope the soggy bottom has dried and you have a successful, flying pumpkin free next run! :-) Gayle
