This morning Loki followed me, running for the first 20 metres of a 3K run I ran this morning, after 20 metres he gave up and disappeared into someones garden.
This morning wasn't the first time he ran after me, on a few occasions when I am going shopping he follows me, but if I start running he only runs for about 10 seconds before disappearing into someones garden.
There is more than one reason I don't run from the house. The need to sprint early on to pop one of mine back through the front door and dash away before he comes out again through the cat flap is against all advice 😆
Loki is very cute and relaxed on top of the kitchen cabinet, the only thing that worries me is that when the light is off in the kitchen he jumps down via the top of my cooker then on to the cold off rings of the cooker, then onto the kitchen floor, all that done in pitch black, he does that a lot, I hope he doesn't have an accident on the way down and breaks a leg or paw.
Cats have fantastic night vision, way better than humans, so as long as he has a glimmer he'll be fine. My husband reckons they can see simultaneously in 4 dimensions as well, as our cat can jump onto a crowded workspace and almost inevitably land in a clear spot. 🐱👤
He has been a little mischievous, a few weeks ago my Internet connection went off, apparently Loki's paw pressed on the switch of the router, that only happened once, I don't allow him to get near to that switch.
He is, there aren't too many all white cats around, I was given him free by a neighbour who already has two cats, if I had bought Loki he would have cost more than £100
What a lovely cat. They like being high up, it makes them feel like the supreme being they believe themselves to be. Ours would sit on the stairs and get quite stroppy when we were below him, while on the ground he's just a ...pussycat 😺
Loki is ALWAYS pleased with himself, he has a very good appetite waking me up at 5.30am for food then wanting to go outside for whatever cats do, he is a good thermometer for me, if it's cold he is only outside for no more than 30 minutes, if the weather is mild he is outside for two hours or more.
Beautiful Al, I wonder if he knows he is the Norse god of mythology. He certainly likes looking down on others, but then most cats think we are here to serve them.
Thanks Dexy, Loki IS thee Norse god of mythology, he likes being up there on top of that cabinet often looking down at anyone in the kitchen and also knows that me his owner is there to serve him 🙀, however, when he sees me dishing out some cat food in his food tray he quickly comes down from atop and eats his food.
PS, it's also possible that cats like to be high up in a room as a heat trap, just below the ceiling the room temperature is higher than lower down.
Your cat looks very handsome. Here is one of mine, Millie, I cannot see her running anywhere with me, she is 14 and just had a trip to the vets for an achy hip.
