Welcome to the forum! This board is for people who are following the Couch to 5k programme to start running (or similar) but we do have another board dedicated to walking. It’s here…

I wonder if that might suit better?

One the best treatments is simply to keep active and move as much as you can. There is increasing evidence that running (yes this is a running forum) does NOT make OA worse and in some cases actually improves it - the same will said for walking.

I have an arthritic knee and it's improved since I started (and completed) C25K a couple of years back.

Good luck!

Hi I have osteoporosis had one knee replacement and was determined not to go trough it again ...after I tried just about everything, then eventually found a product called, Collagenplus, a powder drink you take everyday...It took about 6 weeks to have any effect but wouldn't be without it now...

Works for me...

I'm not involved with the makers at all ,just came across it on a forum one day, thankfully.

Hope it works fir you if you decided to try.🤞

I dont know if this is relevant for you, but HRT has been the best treatment for me.

If you are having trouble getting face to face appointments, have a Google of NHS exercises for arthritis (sorry I'm useless at doing links on my phone). The latest advice is to keep the joints moving, so doing some gentle strengthening exercises regularly and slowly building up is the best way. To begin with do as much as you can without causing yourself pain. If that means only stretching an inch, then move an inch. But repeat it several times a day until one day you can move two inches.

Have a look at Active 10 for walking. And good luck!
