Back at the programme on attempt number 3 after falling at week 7 both times from injury.
I’ve just complete WK6 R1 and in total agony again in my calves and achilles which is making me really anxious.
I feel like I follow everything well. I warm up and down extensively. I am really flat footed though and overweight which may contribute. Are some people just not designed to run?
I’m really determined to finish it but my body keeps getting in my way.
Any advice or similar stories welcome!

charswee have you seen a Podiatrist about your feet?? You may need them to fit something in your trainers to prevent injury. Worth a try.. it has certainly helped me!
you need to chat to a GP or sports physio & be properly assessed! It’s not a good idea to continue when you are in pain! So sorry you have got to this point 3x but that proves you can run.. you just need some help & advice with those feet… you can definitely do this!!
That must be so frustrating for you. Sending masses of sympathy your way.
Unfortunately, none of us are experts here so your best bet is probably to make an appointment with someone in real life who can have a good look and advise you on how to proceed. A GP/physio would be a good bet. Until then, I wouldn’t run while you’re in pain. Hopefully they can help you find some modifications that make it possible for you to complete the programme in a way that works for you.
Hi charswee, I can not offer you advice for your problem but what I can say is when I had problems with my achillies tendons I saw a sports therapist who suggested heel inserts which certainly helped me. Now I'm not saying that will work for you but what I am saying is professional help and advice certainly can. I realise you may know it already but don't rely on just running to lose weight. Good luck, enjoy your running and smile ☺️
it took me multiple goes to complete c25k my biggest error was going to fast
Best advice I got was running is an action not a speed so slowing down might help, also getting trainers from a running shop where they looked at actions on a treadmil to advise
