Yesterday was a quite a day, my first 3 minute run ( or as John_W pointed out 9 minutes π±) and my first post, not just on healthunlocked but anywhere (yes, just call me a dinosaur). This morning I had to write this just because the messages and support from all of you on this group has been overwhelming. Thank you all, it means more than I can say π

Hi M0use, Well done for getting started. Iβm not into any social media sites either I only recently joined HealthUnlocked this year when I started the program and the support is unbelievable if you have a good day or a bad day there is always someone here to support you.
Check out the site theres so much great information here and donβt be scared to ask questions.
Good luck with the next run and keep posting.
hello M0use,
I'm about your age and have been doing C25K on and off for quite a while. It's been more off than on of late, but reading your lovely, enthusiastic post reminded me of what I need to do, how running makes you feel and how we can support one another to get back to it, so am just about to go on a run after a good fortnight off thanks to you!
thank you!!
You're very welcome and please do keep posting.
As you move into Weeks 4, 5 and 6, it will be useful to look at the *total* time that you are running for, not just the length of the individual bits. The aim is to gradually build your fitness and resilience such that you are always (physically) ready for the next run. That is very often not apparent to beginners doing C25K - each run prepares you for the next. Your body is always ready for what lies ahead, despite what your brain will tell you.
Top tip: SWITCH BRAIN OFF!
Congratulations! Those three minuters take some getting used to, but I promise you will manage!
I started in March - same age as you. Very scared when I started. On Saturday I ran my third park run in the most northerly park run - on Shetland. Enjoy every moment and discovering what you are capable of achieving!
