Phew, a few weeks ago I never thought I could run for 20 mins non stop and at todays Park Run I did just that. I’m feeling very proud of myself and have a new PB of 42.51 mins 🥰. But, now that I’m running for longer my shins are starting to become sore. Anyone else feeling the same of have some advice please? Many thanks x

Congratulations on your run. Sorry I don’t have any advice on shin splints but just wanted to say woohoo on your 20 minute run. Mine will hopefully be on Monday

Thanks so much. It surprisingly felt ok even though it was a big jump in mins. Best of luck for Monday too.

Thank you. Today went well so it’s on. Glad yours felt good. That’s good to hear. Hope you enjoy the next one.

Congratulations.

It wasn't actually a big jump in time on W5R3, as it is actually overall the shortest workout since W3 .........all explained here healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

To avoid shin splints follow the advice in the guide to the plan on minimising impact and strengthening exercises.

Also this may help runnersworld.com/shin-splints/
